Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage EHS compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures

• Develop, implement and monitor the organizations EHS policy and ensure the organization is compliant with legislation

• Responsible for PPE management and control

• Conduct regular inspection and updates on MSDS: check and make sure the MSDS procedure is in place and implemented properly according to policies

• Ensure correct documentation and control on safety equipment such as: hydrants, fire extinguisher, etc.

• Conduct Hazard and Risk Assessment

• Conduct EHS internal audits

• Perform field inspections and non-conformity reports

• Coach, mentor and advise site staff to build their capability to improve and sustain EHS Excellence

• Promote a strong EHS culture

• Ensure workforce involvement and participation in EHS Management

• Implement and promote EHS recognition programs at all applicable levels and functions of the organization

• Other duties as assigned by department heads

Core Competencies / Knowledge & Skill

• Technical skills: Risk Assessment, Firefighting, ISO 14001, ISO 45001/OHSAS

• Emergency response planning experience

• First Aid Training

• Strong interpersonal, communication (English) and leadership skills

• Ability to coach and to communicate across hierarchical levels

• Strong influencing and change management capability

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or EHS related discipline

• Preferred AK3U certification

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Managing Compliance in Environment, Health and Safety environment

• Certified for K3 (Occupational Health and Safety)
